About Us

Aviénto Bed & Breakfast is addressed in the centre of the tourism business area in town, where there is a peaceful, relaxed, country way of living. “Aviénto”, derived from the French translation “get”, was the inspiration for the owners to open its doors in February 2016. Aviento comes with lovely 6 rooms of which bed and breakfast are included in 5 of the rooms with 1 room that has all the self-catering amenities needed to be secluded and on your own on your stay.

Attractions

We are walking distance from numerous Swellendam attractions, including SwellenMark shopping mall, SPAR, Drostdy Museum, restaurants, banks, the Dutch-Reformed Church and Old Gaol on Church Square, where visitors can be spoiled by local activities and live band entertainment. Swellendam is only 250 km from Cape Town and George on the N2. The greater municipal area includes the towns and villages of Barrydale, Buffeljags, Infanta, Malgas, Stormsvlei and Suurbraak. Of the many day excursions, possibly 3 of the most popular routes to explore will be guided by Dewald, who will assist you personally by taking you along the journey of your choice.
